Diddling while Washington Dawdles

The first Republican Senator elected from Louisiana since Reconstruction as been caught with his pants down. Senator Ritter was a client of the D.C. "Madam" and admitted to purchasing the services of a sex worker. No word on the gender of the employee. Since the Senator is a conservative Republican and Christian, we could assume it was a female prostitute, but who knows with the state of hypocrisy among such politicians.

What bothers most people more than the act of a married man purchasing such services is the unfairness of the hypocrisy. Politicians who are traditional "family values" and law and order candidates seem to be the ones most often nailed for flirting with teenagers, cheating on their wives, and breaking the law. (prostitution is illegal). While such behaviors are wrong, it is particulary galling when one has a history of claiming personal morality.

The Senator has said that he apologized to his wife and to God. I think he forgot about the taxpayers and his constituents.

Regardless of your sexuallity, you are an ass. Being so dismissive of others beliefs (religeous or otherwise), you are showing your own total intolerance of your fellow man. Get over yourself and start building bridges to others tha may not have the same value system that you may hold. Gays and straights can live in harmony as long as we don't go overboard in trying to demonize each other. You are a hate-monger.

The point of the blog on the Senator is his hypocrisy. We all sin, but some of us dont try to hide behind self-righteous positions that demonize others. We are talking about honesty here.

As for John, you are the one calling names. I would never print the four lettered word you used. This is called "projection". When one criticizes another's behavior which in reality is one's own behavior.

Hi Craig. I think it's good you have a blog, so that your constituents can learn more about you. You said that the senator is a hypocrite, but I don't agree. A hypocrite is someone who tries to hold someone to a standard that he himself will not live up to. If the senator is indeed a christian, then he should believe in having compassion and forgiveness for sinners, which is just what he is asking for. This in my eyes is not hypocritical.

Jerry

Senator Craig is a hypocrite because he is notorious for opposing all manner of equal rights and justice for gay people. He demonizes gays and their lifestyle, while living a secretive lifestyle of his own.
In fact, breaking the law seeking semi-public sex in a restroom.
